LEAD PASTORS
David and Michelle have had a heartbeat for Juárez, Mexico since their first mission trip to the city in 1999. David and Michelle have served in multiples levels of the local church since they were married in 2002. During this time, they were leading mission teams from around the Southeast to the city of their hearts. In 2015, God called them to a prayer life of living for something more. That prayer began what is now Algo Más Church in Juárez, Mexico. They believe God is moving and stirring in the hearts of His people here for Something More and are excited to be a part of what He is doing. They are blessed with 3 amazing kids that serve alongside them at Algo Más, Maylee, Amaya and Brody.
GERMAN + MARIA PICHARRA
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
German and Maria are local to Juárez and have faithfully been serving beside us since day one. German is an incredible addition to our preaching team as well as leading the men's ministry. His wife, Maria serves as one of our main volunteers and also helps lead the women's ministry. Together they help disciple our community into a closer intentional relationship with Jesus that the church is proud to see.
GERMAN PICHARRA DOMINGUEZ JR.
CONNECTIONS PASTOR/STUDENT PASTOR
German Jr. (JJ) has grown up in the church and boldly stepped into the calling in his life. His excitement for his personal relationship with Jesus has fueled the drive that our church undoubtedly sees in the work he puts into leading our worship team, and our student ministry, Más Youth and connecting us more to our community. He has been with Algo Más since the first service and continues serving the community is such a mighty way.
HANIEL AND RACHEL
PASTOR AND COUNSELOR
Haniel and Rachel met on the mission field in southern Mexico in 2018. They got married and joined the Algo Más family soon after in 2021.
Haniel dedicates his time to working with the migrant and refugee communities on both the northern and southern borders of Mexico with a humanitarian aid organization. Haniel, is a Pastor at Algo Más serving the worship team, students and teaching. As a counselor, Rachel is passionate about helping individuals and families in Juarez achieve emotional, relational, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.
Together, Haniel and Rachel strive to show God's love for those in vulnerable positions and support those going through personal difficulties and family challenges. They have a beautiful son named Diego.
GASPAR SALAZAR
PROJECT MANAGER
Gaspar has been an incredible volunteer in the community for many years. He and his family were one of the first families to attend services with Algo Más. He was the first person to be baptized in our church. After years of service to the ministry of Algo Más, we were finally able to offer him a full time position on our staff. He has been working with us since May of 2023 and brings so much joy to the ministry. His work ethic, knowledge and heart for service have become a vital part of our church and mission teams being able to better serve our community. He is a master welder and master jokester. He has a beautiful wife, Anahi who cooks for mission teams, as well as two amazing daughters who serve with them.
THE BOYS
PROPERTY MANAGERS
Tony Torres, Andres Gonzalez, Kevin Gonzalez. We have known the brothers since they were 4 and 3 years old. We met Tony in the streets here in Anapara. His home burned 5 days before Christmas 2021 and has been with us since then. The boys all live in our home in Juarez and take care of the property. While mission teams are here, they work along side them. They were not in school and have now completed middle school and their high school requirements, thanks to sponsors from the US and are now hoping to enter college in the Fall of 2024. Andres and Tony are part of the worship team and write and record their own music.
ERIKA GOMEZ
WORSHIP/KIDS MINISTRY
Erika came to Algo Más during 2019. She was a quiet young woman who has bloomed into a power house worship singer in our church. She has a servant heart and is always willing to help. As our church has been growing, we were in need of help in leading our singers and children's ministry. Erika not only sets the heart of worship with our band but organizes teachers and plans lessons for our children's ministry all the while going to college and working another job. She will graduate in a year with her degree in Engineering Systems. Her beautiful family attends Algo Más as well.
Ivonne Gonzalez
COFFEE ROASTER
Ivonne has been a friend for many years and started to come to Algo Más church in 2017 when we opened. She has faithful served in our church and grown with us over the years. In 2020, many people were in need of work during the pandemic so we created a coffee business. When we were thinking of people and hard workers, she was at the top of our list to train to roast coffee. She is now fully in charge of the coffee roasting and works in our Más Café on Sunday mornings. Ivonne has a husband and three beautiful children. We love having them as part of Algo Más. MOY CIGARRO (BARISTA)
Más Café was opened in January of 2022 as a ministry opportunity. We have segundas (Flea Market) out front of our church on Sunday mornings. We only open our cafe on Sunday mornings. We opened it to offer job opportunities to members of our church and an opportunity to share the gospel to our community through sandwiches and good organic coffee. It has opened up so many opportunities to share and invite people to church. We are blessed with these awesome servants who work and show the love of Christ to those who come through Más Café.
